I have a masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Long Island university - New York, and I am currently licensed in New York, and Florida. I originally became a psychologist by completing my studies at the University of Valle in Colombia in 1996.  I have been practicing psychotherapy in the United States since 2013. I facilitate counseling for individuals, couples, and families in general by providing support in a warm, empathic, and non-judgmental space, welcoming people of all ages, genders, ethnicities, and backgrounds.  I offer bilingual services (Spanish and English) based on the client’s preference. I take a holistic - integrative approach that I use to tailor individual needs and personal circumstances. I have a broad background in working with people affected by ADHD, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma- and stress-related disorder, somatic symptom disorder, impulse-control disorder and conduct Disorder, sexual dysfunction, parental skills, and transitional cycles, just to name a few. I believe that strengthening relationships for individuals, couples and families is the foundation of healthy interactions in life.  I provide the opportunity for people of all walks of life to learn how to increase their ability to manage life's demands, improve their quality of life, adapt to change and cope with symptomatology by developing resiliency.
